What is an accessible website?

An accessible website can be used better by all target groups. It is therefore decreed in the Temporary government decree on digital accessibility that government sites must meet the accessibility requirements set out in EN 301 549/WCAG 2.1 and must take responsibility for this in a published accessibility declaration.

• Research: independent experts regularly test our website (in whole or in part) for accessibility – both for technical functionality and for editorial aspects. Any problems found are solved for the long term.
• Knowledge of our staff: our staff keep their knowledge of accessibility up-to-date and apply it where necessary.
